In October 2014, the team played Newcastle United’s Development Team at the Academy in Newcastle. Coach Steve Camm said: “The boys, coaches and parents had an enjoyable day out that they will remember.

“It was a pleasure for South Shields FC to be invited to the Academy, and we thank them very much for their hospitality.”
