What’s On

The fully renovated function rooms at Mariners Park are a home for live entertainment, as well as for occasions ranging from birthday parties to weddings.

Below is the list of live shows and events scheduled to take place.

Meanwhile, the downstairs bar at Mariners Park is open from 12pm until 9pm, between Monday and Friday, while on Saturday it is open on non-matchdays between 2pm and 11pm, and Sundays 12pm until 11pm, as well as for two hours before and after matches.

Food is also served by Carl’s Carvery Monday to Friday 12pm-4pm (carvery and menu), and Sundays between 12pm and 4pm.

WEEKLY

Saturdays: The club’s development centre – for children of all ages – is on at Mariners Park every week between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. It is for children of all ages on the 3G surface, and costs £3 per child to attend. Registration can be made on the day. The club will also be looking to form some new junior teams from the players who attend, and who would like to do so. For any queries, please call 07947 480054.

Sundays: Sunday carvery is served by Carl’s Carvery between 12pm and 4pm, at a cost of £6.95 per person. For more information on the food served on Sundays or during the week at Mariners Park, call 0191 454 7800.

A new six-a-side league started in November 2016 on Sunday evenings. Match fees are £20 and matches last 40 minutes, while there are FA affiliated referees, cash prizes and unlimited squad sizes, and all equipment is provided. New teams are wanted for the league. A quiz night is held each Sunday between 8.30pm and 10.30pm. There are cash prizes, and food in the half-time interval!

Mondays: A walking football session takes place on the 3G at Mariners Park between 7pm and 8pm. It is mainly aimed at over-50s. People are more than welcome to join – for more information or to register interest, please contact Bob Scott on 07920 554377.

Tuesdays: A walking football session, with coaching from Barrie Smith, takes place between 11am and 12pm on the 3G, with everyone welcome to attend.
