Washington vs South Shields‏ Preview

The Mariners make the short trip to the Nissan Sports Complex to play Washington on Tuesday, November 12th, kick off at 7.30pm in an Ebac Northern League Division Two fixture.

Shields hopefully will be able to welcome the return of the influential Barry Smith following his one match absence, and also Chris Feasey, and to field an almost full strength X1, minus the suspended Jordan Fraser, but also including West Auckland striker signing Hindmarsh, who marked his debut on Saturday with the winning goal, well done!

Points as ever most important with a mid table placing now beckoning, against a rejuvenated Washington side now fielding some well known Northern League players, standing second top of the current form table, and including former claret and blue favourite ‘Paxo’ in defence.

Hopefully attitude and commitment as ever asked for and given in what will be no doubt a competitive and entertaining encounter, of which three points will be a grand set up prior to Saturday’s trip over the river to play North Shields.

Again hopefully given the close proximity of the Nissan ground to South Shields, a decent crowd will turn out to give Shields their support and encouragement, with another three valuable points their reward.
