VIDEO: Scott on Willington win

By Daniel Prince

First-team coach Mark Scott says South Shields remain a “work in progress” following Saturday’s 4-1 win at Willington.

Second half goals from Stephen Ramsey and Warren Byrne (3) turned the game around for the Mariners as they recorded a fourth consecutive victory.

In the video above, Scott discusses the game, and praises the Shields fans who he felt helped the team to the win.

Scott also talks about why the Mariners needed to improve after half-time, why Shields’ fitness means they will win games in the last 20 minutes this season, praises the goal threat of Byrne and the impact of the substitutes, and looks ahead to Tuesday’s trip to Alnwick Town.
