VIDEO: Match-winner Foley talks

By Daniel Prince

Forward David Foley told of his delight after his stunning winner capped South Shields dramatic comeback from 2-0 down to beat Billingham Town on Tuesday.

Foley’s superb 25-yard volley sealed the Mariners’ first points of the season in Ebac Northern League Division Two, but the former Hartlepool United player says it is vital Shields do not give any more teams two or three goal head starts.

In the video above, Foley discusses the win over Billingham, talks through his goal and praises the fitness of the Mariners after another strong showing late in a game.

He also praises the crowd at Mariners Park, talks about why Shields need to “knock some bad habits on the head” and how he is “finding his feet” at the club.
