VIDEO: Briggs on move
By Daniel Prince
Robert Briggs has told of his delight after completing a return to South Shields from Spennymoor Town – and feels the move was a “no-brainer”.
Midfielder Briggs started his Northern League career at Mariners Park before joining Gateshead as a teenager, and later played for the likes of Blyth Spartans, Shildon and West Auckland Town.
Now, the 23-year-old is looking forward to the challenge ahead at Shields, and says it was a “pretty easy decision” to rejoin the club.
Speaking after his first training session with his new team-mates, Briggs discusses his move to Mariners Park in the video above.
He also talks about his career so far, the challenge ahead, and the “incredible” support he is looking forward to enjoying again at Shields.
