South Shields saw their long unbeaten run in the league ended on Saturday as Ryhope CW won the top-of-the-table clash 3-2.

Goals from Lewis Teasdale and John Grey were not enough for the Mariners as the gap at the top was reduced to six points, with Ryhope having a game in hand.

The Mariners lost 3-2 as the gap at the top of Ebac Northern League Division Two was closed to six points.
