Tuesday’s game between South Shields and Ossett Town has been postponed.
Following heavy snowfall on the morning of the match, and low temperatures, the pitch at Mariners Park was deemed unplayable.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
Two more of the club’s fixtures in the EVO-STIK North Division have been given new dates.
The Mariners’ trip to Hyde United – originally scheduled for Saturday, November 11 – has been moved to Tuesday, February 20.
The match was postponed due to Shields’ involvement in the Buildbase FA Trophy second qualifying round tie at Stafford Rangers next Saturday.
The club was also due to face Ossett Town at Mariners Park on Tuesday, November 14, but that game has been switched to Tuesday, February 6 because of Ossett‘s involvement in the Integro League Cup.
The Mariners have been given new dates for four upcoming fixtures in EVO-STIK North.
The home game against Tadcaster Albion – which had been due to be held on Saturday, October 14 but was postponed because of the club’s Emirates FA Cup run – is now due to take place on Tuesday, November 7 at 7.45pm.
Ossett Town’s trip to Mariners Park has also been brought forward. It had been scheduled for Saturday, February 10, but will instead be played on Tuesday, November 14 at 7.45pm.
Replacing that fixture in the calendar will be a home match against Skelmersdale United, which will take place on Saturday, February 10 at 3pm. It had been due to be played exactly a month later.
Instead, the Mariners will travel to Radcliffe Borough on Saturday, March 10 at 3pm. The match was due to be held on Saturday, September 30, when South Shields were instead in action against York City in the Emirates FA Cup.
