The club is billing Saturday’s game against Workington at Mariners Park as One Club Day as we celebrate the involvement of everyone at SSFC.
Over recent weeks we have launched a #OneClub social media campaign, recognising the contribution from players, officials and volunteers at all levels of the club.
We see Saturday’s game as an opportunity to showcase the contribution made to the club by our Foundation, Academy and Ladies teams, as well as the first-team.
We are encouraging as many players connected to South Shields FC as possible to attend the match, which kicks off at 3pm.
Our Foundation players are asked to arrive in their match kit as, prior to the game, they will be taking part in a lap of honour on the pitch.
They are also encouraged to take part in games on the 3G pitch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, as well as our usual multi-sport Matchday Play Park between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, which all ticket-holding children are welcome to participate in.
At 2.30pm, 20 Foundation players will be selected to take part in a tunnel walk, which will see them walk onto the pitch with the two teams.
The rest of the players will take part in a lap of honour.
We hope you will be there to help us recognise the contribution made by all those connected to the club as we prepare for our final game of what has been another memorable year.
Remember too, that if you are planning to attend both the Workington match and the North Ferriby United game on New Year’s Day, you can take advantage of great discounts with a two-game package by clicking here.
Meanwhile, supporters are encouraged to stay in the marquee after the North Ferriby match on New Year’s Day, with a DJ set to entertain fans.
