The club is delighted to confirm that strikers Jon Shaw and Warren Byrne, as well as manager Jon King and assistant manager Lee Picton, will take part in Friday’s question and answer session at Mariners Park.

The Q and A is taking place as part of a night of entertainment at the ground which gets underway at 7pm and is free to attend.

The club’s new away kit will also be launched, while there will be a casino event and live music.

Supporters will get the chance to put their questions to the previously mentioned quartet, just over a week before the new season gets started. The rest of the Shields squad will also be in attendance.

The away kit launch, meanwhile, will see the winner of the competition to design it revealed.

Schoolchildren across South Tyneside were invited to send in their designs, and a lucky winner has been chosen after well over 160 entries came in. Their name will be printed on every shirt.

The club would really like to see you on the night – we hope you can make it.

South Shields manager Jon King felt his side showed why they won Ebac Northern League Division Two in their battling final-day victory at Northallerton Town.

The Mariners won 1-0 at the Calvert Stadium to finish the season on 107 points – 13 points clear of nearest rivals Ryhope CW.

In the video above, King talks about the achievements of the team, and their performance at Northallerton.

He also goes on to look ahead to the summer, and reveals why he will not be switching off during the off-season.
