Guinness World Record-holding football freestyler John Farnworth is to perform at half-time of South Shields’ game with Guisborough Town on Saturday.
Farnworth has held eight world records – including the most round the worlds in under a minute – and performed around the world.
He also competed on ITV show Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, and has appeared on other shows including Russell Howard’s Good News and Match of the Day Kickabout.
As well as South Shields, he will be at Mariners Park to support Silksworth Juniors Under-9s, for whom Gavin Cogdon’s son Jude plays. They will be holding a bucket collection at the match in a bid to help them raise funds to compete in a tournament in Barcelona next spring.
