South Shields have been drawn against Stocksbridge Park Steels in the second round of the Integro League Challenge Cup.
The tie will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at Mariners Park.
The Mariners earned their place in the second round by beating Farsley Celtic 5-3 on penalties on Tuesday, after a 2-2 draw.
Stocksbridge also won their first round tie on penalties, defeating fellow EVO-STIK South side Frickley Athletic 7-6 on spot-kicks after a 3-3 draw.
Sheffield-based Stocksbridge are third in the EVO-STIK South, with 21 points from 13 games. One of the sides above them are Cleethorpes Town, who Shields beat 4-0 in the FA Vase final last season.
Stocksbridge were formed in 1986, and are best known by many for playing a key role in the development of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
Vardy joined the club’s youth system aged 16 and went on to make his way into the first-team, spending three years at the club before moving to Halifax Town in 2010.
He has since won the Premier League title with Leicester, broken the record for the most consecutive Premier League matches scored in and netted six times in 17 appearances for England.
South Shields will face Farsley Celtic in the first round of the Integro League Cup.
Both clubs have been handed a bye through the preliminary round, and will go head-to-head in the first round of the competition at Mariners Park.
The tie will take place on Tuesday, October 17.
Farsley Celtic compete in the EVO-STIK Premier Division, having won promotion through the play-offs in EVO-STIK North last time out.
