The committee held a two-hour meeting with the FA and South Tyneside Council yesterday.
Talks were very positive towards the development of a new ground in South Tyneside.
Further meetings are pencilled in for a later date, and will take place after the FA has considered the requests of the club and the council.
Updates regarding the ground situation will continue to be made on the club website.
A further meeting is to take place tomorrow (Tuesday, February 4) regarding the club’s planned move back to South Tyneside.
Representatives from South Tyneside Council, The FA and South Shields FC will meet together to discuss the matter further.
