South Shields got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-0 victory at Stokesley Sports Club.

Early goals from David Foley and Michael Turner were added to by a late strike from Martyn Coleman.

Daryll Hall was satisfied with a job well done after helping South Shields to a 2-0 win over Chester-le-Street Town on Saturday.

Hall was part of the backline which secured a crucial clean sheet as the Mariners moved eight points clear at the top of Ebac Northern League Division Two.

Daryll Hall insists South Shields will “win together and lose together” after a second disappointment in the space of four days.

After losing a thrilling FA Vase tie on penalties to Morpeth Town on Wednesday, the Mariners saw their unbeaten league away record ended with a 3-2 loss at Ryhope CW.
