Goals from Robert Briggs, Leepaul Scroggins and Warren Byrne sealed another win for South Shields on Saturday.

The trio were on target in the 3-1 friendly win over Bedlington Terriers at Temple Park Centre.

The game was arranged following the postponement of Friday’s FA Vase tie between the Mariners and Morpeth Town at Consett.

Warren Byrne wrapped up South Shields’ 3-1 win over Bedlington Terriers on Saturday with a superb stoppage time goal.

Byrne had missed the previous week’s friendly against West Allotment Celtic with an Achilles injury, but played the second half of Saturday’s game at Temple Park Centre.

First-team coach Mark Scott was pleased with the performance of South Shields on Saturday as they defeated Bedlington Terriers 3-1 in a friendly.

The match was played on the 3G surface at Temple Park Centre following the postponement of the previous day’s FA Vase tie against Morpeth Town at Consett.
