The club is pleased to confirm that Adam Hutchinson has received international clearance and is now eligible to play in competitive fixtures.

Hutchinson made a number of appearances for the Mariners in pre-season, impressing in both defence and midfield.

His move to Mariners Park was delayed after the club was required to submit an application for international clearance, with the South Shields-born player having spent four years at Lynn University, in Florida.

Prior to that, the 24-year-old had been with Darlington, coming up through the ranks at the club.

One of his highlights was captaining the club against Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup.

Welcome to the club, Adam!
