Tickets are still on sale for the club’s fifth annual River Tyne ferry trip, which always proves to be a popular social event.
On board, there will be a buffet and a disco, with two bars also provided.
Boarding is at 6.30pm at the ferry landing at South Shields, with departure at 7pm.
Firstly, the ferry will go downstream around the harbour, and then up to the Newcastle and Gateshead Millennium Bridge, before returning to South Shields for around 10.30pm.
Tickets are available at £20 each, which includes two free drinks.

South Shields FC announces with pleasure that the fourth annual River Tyne ferry trip, ‘A Night On The Tyne’, will be held on Saturday, August 2.
This most popular social event is as ever sure to be very well supported, and all are welcome to come along to enjoy what is always a great evening of fun and entertainment, with disco music for dancing, a buffet, and two bars provided for patrons.
Boarding at 6.30pm at the ferry landing, with departure at 7pm, and return to the ferry landing at approximately 10.30pm, firstly downstream around the harbour and then up to the Newcastle and Gateshead Millennium Bridge, to enjoy all the sights of the river banks and the most interesting new developments, along with a close up of the river’s industrial and maritime activities at first hand.
A not to be missed Saturday evening out with a real difference for all club followers and friends, to help support this fundraising effort by the club and to enjoy what is always a great night.
Tickets are now available, priced at £12 each, which includes raffle tickets for all, with numerous prizes on offer for the lucky winners.
Since the first trip was held four years ago, the event has been a great success in terms of numbers attending, and most hopefully with good weather the night really will be made.
