SSFC Golf Day a big success at South Shields Golf Club
The club would like to thank all of those who took part in the Mariners’ annual golf day.
The event took place last week at South Shields Golf Club, on Cleadon Hills.
The competition was in the popular Texas Scramble format, and the club would like to thank all of those who participated.
The winner of nearest the pin on the first hole, pictured below with Shields manager Jon King, was Carl Finnigan.
Nearest the pin on the 10th hole, pictured below with King, was Paul Gilmore.
On the 13th, meanwhile, the nearest the pin, below with King, was Bill Mattinson.
The player who hit the longest drive on the 17th hole, pictured below with King, was Alan Cuthbertson.
The second placed team in the event, pictured from left to right with King, were Warren Byrne, Anthony Byrne, Kristian Bond and Lee Bond.
The winning team, who were presented with a Shields season ticket for 2016-17 by defender Ben Riding, are pictured below with Riding and King. They are, from left to right, Paul Gilmore, Kevin Wright, Steve Galloway and Tony Galloway.
