SSFC Advent Calendar: Day Three

SSFC Advent Calendar: Day Three

Another December day is upon us and with it, the third installment of our SSFC Advent Calendar feature.

Throughout the first 24 days of the month we will attempt to spread a bit of festive cheer, and today’s feature is started by Blair Adams, whose message for fans can be viewed via the tweet below.

Between now and Christmas Eve, you will be able to enter a range of competitions to win prizes courtesy of the club and several of its sponsors.

The first item up for grabs is a signed pair of Myles Boney’s gloves. For each of the first four days in December, a question will be revealed and when the final question is published on Friday, supporters will have until 9am the following day to submit all of their four answers together via email to

The first question, asked by Myles himself on Monday, was: Which club did Shields sign Myles Boney from?

The second question, asked by Jordan Hunter yesterday, was: Which football legend, who now manages Rangers, once coached Jordan Hunter at Liverpool?

Today’s question is: Which North East club did Blair Adams play against South Shields for in the FA Cup three years ago?

Remember, don’t submit your answers until the fourth question has been published on Friday.

We are today reminding you of another competition we are running in partnership with our fantastic sponsors TGS Industrial Supplies.

A party barbecue courtesy of TGS is up for grabs, and to enter the competition, you must do one of the following by 1pm on Friday…

The club will also be highlighting some fantastic charities over the next three-and-a-half weeks.

The first of them is South Shields-based Cancer Connections, which is dedicated to serving individuals and families suffering from cancer and its after-effects. We fully appreciate that times are difficult at present and many will not be in a position to donate, but those who would like to can do so by clicking here.

Cancer Connections is a brilliant charity which is more relevant than ever during the pandemic. Although its drop-in centre is currently closed, staff can still be spoken to over the phone, with counselling, welfare benefits advice, information about cancer, family support and “someone to talk with who understands” all available by calling 0191 456 5081.

Over the month, donations will also be encouraged towards the club’s charitable Foundation, which works with hundreds of children each week and does such fantastic work within our community.
