Segregation confirmed for FC United fixture

FC United of Manchester have confirmed segregation will be in place for the Mariners’ trip to Broadhurst Park on Saturday.

A sizeable away following is expected to attend the Pitching In Northern Premier League fixture, which could have significant ramifications in the race for promotion.

Shields fans are asked to enter the ground through turnstiles nine to 12, with any Mariners located in the home end to be asked to move to the area designated for away supporters, which is the West Stand and part of the North Stand, with 106 seats available in the Main Stand. A food and drinks bar will be situated in the West Stand.

A pay on the gate policy will be in place, with admission priced at £12 for adults, £7 for concessions, £3 for under-18s and free for under-fives with a paying adult. For clarity, concessions are defined at FC United as over-60s, those in receipt of Income Support or Universal Credit, and students in possession of a valid NUS card. Cash and card payments will be accepted and those applying for a concession may be asked to produce identification at the turnstile.

The ground will be open from 1pm and car parking will be available at Broadhurst Park (310 Lightbowne Road, M40 0FJ) (£5) and at St Matthews (£3). Supporters are asked not to park on St Mary’s Road or the side roads thereof, and to instead use Lightbowne Road.
