Scott Pocklington leaves club
The club can confirm that goalkeeper Scott Pocklington has decided to leave Mariners Park following the 2015-16 season.
Pocklington, who joined South Shields from Bishop Auckland last September, had an important role in last season’s Northern League Division Two title win. He made 31 appearances in all competitions.
The club would like to thank him for his great efforts during the season, and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.
An announcement on Pocklington’s new club is expected to be made in due course.
Reflecting on his departure from Mariners Park, the goalkeeper posted on Twitter: “I want to thank South Shields FC for a great season! Unreal set of lads will miss them all! Fans were class! Been an amazing season! Thanks!”
