River Tyne Derby: Details of turnstiles in operation on matchday

A record Mariners Park crowd is expected on Saturday for the River Tyne derby between South Shields and North Shields.

The game will kick-off at 3pm, with advance ticket sales having gone extremely well.

Four turnstiles will be in operation on matchday.

Turnstile one (the first one you will pass on Shaftesbury Avenue if you are travelling from the Simonside direction), will be strictly for season ticket holders, those in hospitality, and those with corporate or junior passes.

Turnstile two (next door to turnstile one) as well as turnstiles three and four (about 100 yards further down Shaftesbury Avenue) will be strictly for those who have bought tickets, to ease access into the ground and in an attempt to reduce congestion outside. Turnstile numbers will be clearly marked.

Home tickets for the fixture initially sold out, but then a limited number became available on Friday morning.

They have proved very popular, but should any remain available by the time the turnstiles open, they will be for sale from turnstile one.

There is, though, no guarantee that these tickets will not have sold out before then, so supporters who wish to attend and have not yet bought a ticket are advised to do so by visiting Mariners Park or calling 0191 454 7800.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Mariners Park on what looks set to be a record-breaking occasion, and to a match which has been eagerly awaited as those occupying the top two positions in Northern League Division One go head-to-head.
