Limited number of tickets become available for River Tyne derby
The Mariners Park attendance record is expected to be broken on Saturday for the visit of North Shields.
The current record was set in April this year, when Hebburn Town were the visitors and the crowd was 1,827.
Tickets have been selling extremely well for Saturday’s derby, and home tickets sold out early on Thursday afternoon.
However, a limited number have become available, and will be able to buy in person from Mariners Park or over the phone by calling 0191 454 7800 or 07707 313726.
The deadline for postal deliveries has now passed, so all tickets bought will now need to be collected in person from Mariners Park.
They can be bought over the phone by calling 0191 454 7800 or visiting the ground. Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 for students and over-65s, and £2 for under-16s.
Meanwhile, wristbands for the balcony remain on sale, although availability is extremely limited. It will allow holders to gain access to the balcony during the North Shields game, and they can be bought from the same number. Wristbands are £3 each.
With Mariners Park expected to be very busy on Saturday, supporters are advised that parking on the industrial estate may be at a premium.
The extremely nearby Bede Metro Station offers supporters an alternative, public transport option.
