2021-22 season tickets set to go on general sale
Season tickets for the 2021-22 campaign are to go on general sale on Tuesday – with prices to remain the same for the fourth consecutive year.
Supporters will be able to secure entry to all league games from prices of £170 for adults, £135 for concessions and £35 for under-16s, with direct debit options also to be available when tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 13.
Seats are being made available to purchase in the planned new main stand as well as the existing seated stand, with current seated season ticket holders to be given the opportunity to secure seats before they go on general sale. Balcony season tickets will also be on sale.
Supporters are asked not to visit the club to attempt to purchase season tickets in person, as the office is currently closed.
The quickest and easiest way to secure your season ticket, in light of the human resource currently available to the club, is online.
If any supporter is unable to buy online, please call us on 0191 454 7800 between 9am and 5pm – but be aware that there is the potential for significant delays due to the limited resources available.
A record number of Mariners signed up for a season ticket ahead of what proved to be a curtailed campaign in 2020-21, and excitement is growing again as coronavirus restrictions slowly lift and another new campaign looms into view.
South Shields FC chief executive Lee Picton said: “Everyone at the club is greatly looking forward to the 2021-22 season, which promises to be a hugely exciting one for everyone involved in football.
“As we make preparations to welcome supporters back to 1st Cloud Arena in large numbers, we are committed to ensuring they enjoy the best matchday experience they have ever had here.
“The planned new main stand, the additional covered area behind the goal at the factory end, the improved walking surface throughout the ground and extensive pitch renovations are just some of the changes fans can expect, with more surprises to follow ahead of the new season.
“We simply can’t wait to welcome our magnificent supporters back and I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of them once again for the way they have supported us during such a testing period.
“Understandably, some of our supporters requested a refund on their 2020-21 season ticket in light of the fact the campaign was curtailed and this has been such a difficult time financially for so many, but it was staggering to see how many people opted to waive their refund, which has hugely helped the club’s financial health. A massive thanks go to them all.
“We’re excited to now confirm season ticket prices for the 2021-22 campaign and hope as many supporters as possible join us on the journey as we continue to grow together.
“I’m sure the atmosphere at 1st Cloud Arena next season is going to be something to behold.”
Existing seated season ticket holders are asked to contact the club by 5pm on Monday to indicate if they would like to renew their seat or switch to a different seat before they go on general sale, with an option to move over to the planned new main stand. To contact us, please call 0191 454 7800 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club anticipates that the new main stand will be in place by the start of the 2021-22 campaign, but if it is not operational by then, any season tickets bought within it will be refunded on a pro-rata, match-by-match basis until it is operational.
