The club would like to thank everyone who attended Saturday’s end-of-season presentation night at The Mile Bar, in South Shields.
The evening was extremely well-attended, with entertainment coming from Elvis Presley tribute act Kid Creole before the presentations were made to the first-team and Under-18s.
In the senior awards, Aron Burn beat off strong competition from a number of players to win the Young Player of the Year award. He played 38 times in his debut campaign in the Ebac Northern League, and below, he is presented with his award by club secretary Philip Reay.
The season’s top goalscorer was Paul Kane, who struck 24 times in 33 appearances. Below, he is presented with his award by club secretary Philip Reay.
Barrie Smith – who was not able to be present on the evening – won three awards: Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year. Captain Chris Locke picked up the awards on Barrie’s behalf, including the supporters’ award, from Bob Scott (below).
The club’s Under-18s side also turned out in force for the joint presentation evening, and each player received a club polo shirt (below) for another fine season.
The club would like to thank everyone for their support over the 2014-15 campaign, and looks forward to seeing you all again in 2015-16.
