Young Mariners set for Chester trip in FA Youth Cup

South Shields are to travel to Chester in the first round of the FA Youth Cup.

The tie will be held at Deva Stadium on Wednesday, November 2nd, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Admission prices will be £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Shields have progressed past the first round twice, reaching round two in 2018-19 and the third round a year later.

They reached the first round of this season’s competitions with wins over Whitley Bay (8-0), Billingham Town (4-1), Gateshead (7-1) and AFC Liverpool (2-0).

Chester defeated AFC Fylde on penalties in the third qualifying round after a 1-1 draw.
