Young Mariners aim for FA Youth Cup progress at 1st Cloud Arena

South Shields' Under-18s take on their York City counterparts as they aim for a place in the first round of the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday.

The young Mariners will be aiming to emulate Shields teams of the past by reaching the competition proper.

Shields made it to the second round in 2018-19, third round in 2019-20, first round in 2021-22 and first round in 2022-23.

They made it to the third qualifying round of this year's competition with victories over Darlington and Gateshead.

Kick-off in Tuesday's game at 1st Cloud Arena is at 7.30pm and admission prices are £3 for adults and concessions, and £1 for under-16s.

The club shop will be open for one hour only, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, where there will be a 20% discount on all items, excluding replica shirts. There will also be a 30% discount on children's replica shirts when purchased alongside an adult item.

The ground will open at 6pm.
