Two more pre-season dates confirmed

The Mariners will visit Newton Aycliffe and Whitby Town as part of their pre-season programme.

Julio Arca's side are set to make the short trip to Newton Aycliffe's Moore Lane on Tuesday, July 4th for a 7.30pm kick-off.

Both clubs won promotion as league champions last season, with the Newtonians now preparing for life in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division.

Shields will also return to the scene of their NPL title win when they travel to Whitby on Tuesday, July 18th.

A 1-0 victory at the Turnbull Ground in April sparked memorable scenes as the Mariners celebrated earning a place in National League North.

They are two of three confirmed pre-season friendlies to date, with Shields to host Sunderland at 1st Cloud Arena on Saturday, July 8th.

Ticket on-sale dates for the Sunderland fixture are set to be confirmed in due course.
