We are delighted to announce the signing on Tom Allan on loan from Gateshead FC for the remainder of the season.
Tom Allan joins the Mariners after spending a month on loan at Spennymoor Town, featuring in 9 games, scoring 1 goal.
Allan (25) spent his youth career at Newcastle United where he went on to feature for the Magpies in the FA Cup Third Round under Steve Bruce in a 4-1 win against Rochdale where he assisted the Brazilian attacker, Joelinton for one of the goals.
The Cramlington born forward would go on to spend time on loan at Accrington Stanley and Greenock Morton before being taken on by Gateshead FC after being released by the Magpies.
Allan is very excited about the opportunity to feature for the Mariners and hopes to have a very successful season.
"I'm really happy to finally get this sorted, the opportunity to work with the manager again was a huge thing for me.
I already know a few of the lads so hopefully it makes the change a little easier.
