New stand prepares for full opening as Kayleigh Gray joins club

Updated: Sep 27, 2022

As anticipation builds ahead of the opening home pre-season friendly against Barrow on July 16th, the club is pleased to update supporters on some of its plans for the new main stand at 1st Cloud Arena.

A series of events are being planned in the lead-up to the game to mark the stand’s full opening, with the new bar, club shop, kiosks and boardroom all set to be fully operational for the first time at the Barrow match, in addition to the seating and executive boxes.

The stand is expected to become a key focal point for supporters and members of the community on matchdays and non-matchdays and as part of that, we are pleased to welcome Kayleigh Gray to our off-field team.

Kayleigh has been appointed as the new stand’s bar and events manager, and will be responsible for the successful running of its operations on a daily basis, as well as matchdays.

Many supporters will already be aware of Kayleigh, who was previously a key and popular member of the club’s bar staff. We are sure you will join us in wishing her a warm welcome back to the club.

The decision to appoint Kayleigh was made in light of the huge challenges presented by the opening of the new stand, with Michelle Leadley to continue as bar and events manager on the clubhouse side of the ground, including the marquee.

We are delighted to have Kayleigh and Michelle in their roles and are sure they will prove to be a successful and dynamic team, ensuring the matchday and non-matchday experience is better than ever before at SSFC.

The club will continue to update supporters as further plans for the new stand are crystallised.
