A stoppage time penalty denied South Shields a first away win of the season after a battling display at Farsley Celtic on Tuesday.
The Mariners grasped control of a tight encounter in the second half and took the lead when Lirak Hasani fired home on the hour mark.
They were left to rue several missed opportunities two minutes into added time, with substitute Ben Atkinson scoring from the spot to earn Farsley a share of the spoils.
Shields have collected four points from their opening three games in Vanarama National League North.
