South Shields FC welcome Hereford FC to the 1st Cloud Arena this evening for a Vanarama National League North fixture.
Hereford FC currently sit 9th in the NLN having won two of their last five games.
The Mariners currently sit 14th in the NLN, having most recently take a point away from their previous game against Scarborough which saw Kyle Crossley secure a late equaliser, setup by Paul Blackett.
Elliott's Thoughts
"The support on Saturday was outstanding. You stuck with us and got behind the players and helped them push and drive to earn a good point, even if we all feel that it should have been more.
You have all been so supportive and when I am walking around The 1st Cloud Arena and I see you all (in the bar, or outside) and we have a conversation, you are all so inspirational to me. Your views and opinions are really valued, and they do resonate with me. We will never please everyone all the time, but this is why we are all working so hard to entertain you.
Your understanding of how we want to play is so important, and we feel lucky that you are all on the same page with us, with regards our philosophy of how we play.
In terms of injuries, Dan Ward who came off when we played Scunthorpe, is making good progress. He may miss a short period of time, but we are all so thankful that it was not a reoccurrence of his previous injury."
