The Fixture
After having three games called off due to bad weather conditions, South Shields will continue their National League North campaign on Saturday against Scunthorpe United at The Attis Arena.
Scunthorpe have seen a recent dip in their form, having won just one of their previous three, losing 2-1 to Rushall Olympic, drawing 2-2 with Chorley and most recently a home victory over Brackley Town in which the result was 3-2, goals scored by Alfie Beestin, Maxim Kouogun and Mark Beck.
Callum Roberts and Danny Whitehall both have hit double figures for Scunthorpe this season when it comes to goals, with Roberts on 13 and Whitehall on 10.
The Mariners have not played a competetive game since New Years Day which was a 1-0 defeat to Darlington at the 1st Cloud Arena.
Shields currently sit 12th in the league on 36 points with Paul Blackett being the leading goalscorer for the club and in the league this season with 14 goals who will be looking to add more to his impressive tally.
