Match Preview: Scarborough Athletic vs South Shields

South Shields FC travel to Scarborough this weekend to face Scarborough Athletic

Shields faced Scunthorpe United at home in their previous fixture, a result that saw them lose 2-0 with goals coming from Callum Roberts and Alfie Beestin.

Scarborough currently sit 3rd in the Vanarama National League North with their most recent game being a 3-2 loss to Chester FC.

Elliott's thoughts:

"Preparation has been great, we're very thorough. We know that Scarborough are going to be a difficult side"

"We need to focus on us, focus on what we do, and need to make sure we are better in certain aspects"

"We've got a couple of lads carrying knocks, Jenkins is carrying a knock from the game against Oxford so he missed the game on Monday, hopefully within the next 24 hours that could change and he can be with us"

"Tom Broadbent, who was really keen to stay on and did well to get through the game on Monday, we are just managing him so hopefully he should be fine but we will see how the next 24 hours go"

"There is a couple lads not feeling great, Ashton Mee has a little bug"

"The rest is fine with nothing major to report and to be fair to the players they do well to look after themselves and they do recover well"
