Saturday’s Pitching In Northern Premier League fixture away to FC United of Manchester has been postponed following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Football Association has confirmed that all National League System, FA Trophy and grassroots football matches scheduled for this weekend will not take place as a mark of respect.
League games are due to resume from Monday, September 12th, meaning our trip to Lancaster City on Tuesday is still due to go ahead as planned, subject to any further announcements.
Her Majesty the Queen was a long-standing Patron of The Football Association and has left a lasting and indelible legacy on our national game.
We join the nation and indeed the world in mourning the loss of a remarkable monarch.
Rest in peace, Your Majesty.
