    Since ending his successful playing days, Graham has gone on to have an equally fruitful start to life in coaching and management. He spent time on the coaching staff of clubs including Blyth Spartans before being appointed North Shields manager in 2012, where he went on to win promotion to Division One of the Northern League, the FA Vase and Northumberland Senior Cup. Alongside Lee Picton, he won four trophies in his first season in joint charge of South Shields. The pair have a long-standing working relationship, having been alongside each other for almost a decade at Monkseaton High School before linking up on a full-time basis at Mariners Park. Graham's playing days saw him reach the Premier League with Aston Villa, Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers, for whom he scored a famous double against Newcastle United to help cost his boyhood club the title in 1996.
