Excitement is building ahead of Saturday’s derby clash between North Shields and South Shields at Daren Persson Stadium.
The match is kicking off at 3pm, with the top two in Northern League Division One going head-to-head.
Victory for the Mariners would secure promotion, and see them replace their opponents at the top of the table on goal difference.
A win for the Robins, meanwhile, would move them six points clear at the top.
These are high stakes indeed, and a large crowd is expected for such an eagerly-awaited match.
North Shields have announced that a cash turnstile will be in operation on the day of the game, with admission costing £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
However, supporters have been advised to get to the ground as early before 3pm as possible to ease congestion at the turnstiles.
It has also been recommended that South Shields fans turn right upon entering the ground, and congregate around the bottom half of the pitch, particularly behind the goal.
The clubhouse and tea hut at the ground will be open from 12pm.
The club very much looks forward to your support at the game. If you’re unable to make it, you can listen live by clicking here for Live Sports FM’s coverage.
Updates will also appear here on the Mariners’ Twitter page.
Ahead of the match, South Shields joint manager Lee Picton said: “We’re going to need to be brave, courageous, but also disciplined and focused and organised.
“They are qualities we’ve shown at various stages this season, but didn’t quite show on Tuesday.
“They’re going to be really important qualities, because it’s going to be a big occasion and a great atmosphere.”
