Mariners drawn to host Morpeth Town in FA Vase fourth round

South Shields have been drawn to face holders Morpeth Town in a mouthwatering Buildbase FA Vase fourth round tie at Mariners Park.

The match will be a rematch of last season’s third round tie between the ties, which was eventually played at Consett.

After an incredible 3-3 draw, the Highwaymen went on to win a marathon penalty shoot-out before eventually lifting the trophy at Wembley in May.

This time, Shields will be looking to put that right on home soil, with the tie due to be played on the weekend of January 7, 2017.

The teams last played each other in October, with the Mariners winning 4-0 at Craik Park in Northern League Division One.

The other ties involving Northern League clubs are:

Shildon v Atherton Collieries

Billingham Town v Cleethorpes Town

AFC Mansfield v Sunderland RCA
