Lewis Teasdale joins Shields
South Shields Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Lewis Teasdale from Jarrow Roofing.
The 25-year-old is available to make his Shields debut in Saturday’s FA Vase match against Washington at Mariners Park.
Striker Teasdale, who has also played for Tow Law Town, Dunston UTS, Crook Town and Ashington in the past, is excited about his future with the Mariners.
He said: “I spoke to (manager) Jon King and listened to what he had to say.
“From what he said and what I’ve heard from other people, I thought it would be a good move, so I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get started on Saturday.
“I joined because of the ambition, really. The club wants to move forward fast, so it’s something I want to be a part of.
“I’ve seen what’s been going on and we’ve got a good side, so hopefully we can push on and aim to win the league.
“There have been big crowds coming to watch the club as well, so it will be nice to play in front of a lot of people.”
