A highly experienced human resources (HR) business partner with over 40 years of HR experience, Joanne Howe is a non-executive director at South Shields FC.
She has worked at a senior level in HR, safeguarding and governance, including 14 years experience in the public sector, 15 years in the further education sector and 11 years running Howe Consultancy Limited.
Joanne has significant experience in setting up HR functions and ensuring businesses are audit ready, working with business owners to bring about cultural change and develop the HR strategy to deliver the changes. She has also developed bespoke mentoring programmes for managers and leaders to bring clarity and boost confidence in dealing with people and developing processes.
Joanne is also adept at developing key performance indicators and performance management systems, ensuring accountability throughout the business, and her strengths include building trusting and long-lasting relationships and acting as a confidential ‘business buddy’.
She is qualified as a Fellow member of the CIPD, and holds qualifications in management (CMS) and health and safety (NEBOSH).
