HIGHLIGHTS: Consett 0-1 South Shields

South Shields returned to winning ways on Tuesday as they battled to a 1-0 victory at Consett in the Durham Challenge Cup.

On a night when the extremely blustery conditions played a major part in the game, Julio Arca’s late penalty won the day for the Mariners.

They will now host Gateshead next Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the competition.
