Get involved! Fun-packed Tuesday activity programme for children with SSFC Foundation
Do you have a future Mariner aged three to six in your family?
SSFC Foundation is launching a new Tuesday night programme for boys and girls focused on fun, movement and development.
It will act as a first introduction to football for many youngsters and we are on the lookout for new starters to get involved.
The programme is being launched in association with the Foundation’s Main Activity Partner, Port of Tyne, and will be delivered by experienced Foundation coaches.
As well as giving children a fun-filled evening, the programme also gives keen youngsters an opportunity to progress into Foundation grassroots teams at the Under-7s age group.
Booking is required for the sessions – which take place at the Harton and Westoe Miners’ Welfare, begin this Tuesday and cost £3 each – as availability is limited. Details of the sessions are below and you can book by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
5pm: Thinkers and Movers (indoor) – 3-5 years
The SSFC Foundation Thinkers and Movers sessions have proved tremendously popular since being launched last year and there are places now available! Developed and led by the Foundation’s Programme Delivery Lead Nathan Kew, Thinkers and Movers focuses on key motor skills and the fundamentals of movement – in other words, fun! It also acts as an early introduction to football and comes highly recommended!
5pm: Mini Mariners (outdoors) – 5-6 years
Our Mini Mariners sessions take place outdoors at Harton Welfare and are aimed at youngsters who have a real thirst for the game. We have sessions tailored for them with our experienced coaches. Those who progress through our Thinkers and Movers programmes are encouraged to stay with us with Mini Mariners before potentially progressing into our grassroots teams.
