Admission prices for friendly with Hebburn Town reduced
Admission prices for Wednesday’s friendly between South Shields and Hebburn Town have been reduced after the club took on board feedback from supporters.
Entry for the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will now cost £6 for adults, £4 for students and over-65s, and £2 for under-16s.
All supporters who pre-bought tickets for the match prior to the price change will have a portion of their payment reimbursed. Please contact the club to organise a refund.
Admission had originally been set at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for under-16s – the ticket prices for league games at Mariners Park in the 2018-19 season.
The club apologises if supporters feel it made an error with those prices and hope the change goes some way to rectifying that.
The club had set pre-season ticket prices to reflect its planned opponents. As ever, every penny generated throughout pre-season will be reinvested into the club and the SSFC Foundation.
Tickets for Wednesday’s game can be bought at the turnstiles on matchday or in advance by clicking here.
Meanwhile, tickets for the South Shields FC International Tournament, which will be contested by the Mariners, Celtic, Marseille and Southampton, remain on sale.
The three-day festival of football takes place between Friday, July 27 and Sunday, July 29 at Mariners Park.
It will kick-off with a match between Celtic and Marseille’s Under-23 sides on Friday, with the game to get underway at 7.30pm.
Shields will come up against Southampton’s Under-23s on Saturday at 3pm before the competition draws to a close with a third-place play-off on Sunday at 1pm, and a final at 5pm.
Supporters who buy in advance can take advantage of discounts for three-day tickets.
They are available at £30 for adults, £24 for concessions and £9 for children.
If you attend all four games over the weekend, that represents a saving of £5 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2 for children.
Tickets for individual games and the finals day will be available to buy at the turnstiles, but the three-day tickets are only available online by clicking here, or from Mariners Park between 1pm and 4pm on weekdays.
The club thanks all supporters for their continued backing.
