Three lucky players of the club’s Bingo Lottery game are celebrating after scooping a prize of £231 each.

The latest version of the game lasted seven weeks, with a jackpot of £693 accumulated over that time.

The six numbers of Tom Carhart, Ronnie Mews and Kenneth Treadwell have now all been matched, meaning they split the prize.

Congratulations to all three winners, and thanks to everyone for their continued involvement.

Now is the ideal chance to sign up for the next game, which will start with this coming Saturday’s National Lotto draw.

Participants select six numbers between one and 59, and can also enter with more than one set of numbers for £1 per week per line.

Each Saturday, any numbers which come out on the National Lotto draw are ticked off until the first participant(s) match all six of their selections, therefore winning the prize.

By entering, you will be able to compete against the likes of Julio Arca, Leepaul Scroggins, David Foley, Daryll Hall and the rest of the South Shields squad, who are all part of the game, as are the coaching staff.

Entry tickets can be downloaded at the Bingo Lottery section of the club website, and can also be obtained by calling Bob Scott on 07920 554377 or Gary Crutwell on 07947 480054.

South Shields defender Lewis Galpin is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a double leg fracture.

Lewis was injured in a freak incident in training following the postponement of Saturday’s game against Crook Town.

The 22-year-old does not require surgery, but a timescale has not yet been put on his return.

Everyone at South Shields FC would like to wish Lewis well and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Following the news of his injury, messages for Lewis flooded in on social networking site Twitter, including those below.
