South Shields manager Jon King has expressed his delight at the way the summer has started – and mapped out his plans for the 2015-16 season.

In the video above, King discusses the club’s return to Filtrona Park – soon to become Mariners Park – as well as the signings made so far.

He also talks about the appointment of Mark Scott to his coaching staff, his hopes for the season ahead and his excitement about the ‘project’ at the club.

South Shields fans are being invited to a meeting of the club’s Supporters’ Association this week.

The meeting will take place at the Lord Ashley Pub, on Stanhope Road, South Shields, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

All supporters – whether members of the association or not – are invited to attend.

New South Shields coach Mark Scott says he wants to see the club playing “attractive, attacking football” next season.

Scott – who was confirmed as an addition to Jon King’s backroom team on Sunday – is “chomping at the bit” to get started.
